Click "About This Mac" or "About This Computer" from the Apple menu or Apple symbol in the top left corner of your Desktop. Total memory amount should be displayed.
Currently the Upgradeable Memory Scanner Tool is for only compatible with Microsoft Windows. However, unlike Microsoft Windows, OSX offers an application to check the RAM configuration of your Mac computer. To check your RAM configuration, Click on the Spotlight icon on the top left of the screen or use the shortcut (Cmd + space), type in "System Profiler" and select the application under the Top Hit category. Once the profiler has opened, select the Memory option from the left hand menu under the Hardware category. From this screen you will be able to check how much RAM is installed in each memory socket of your Mac computer.
We list the Apple MacBook and MacBook Pro models under the MacBook listing on our Apple Memory Upgrade Configurator. Click here to browse for your MacBook Pro model.
