Installing the RAM for Apple MacBookPro Core 2 Duo 2.33Ghz

Before installing your new memory upgrade please be sure that the system is completely powered down. DO NOT install the memory upgrade while the computer is in standby or hibernation mode.

Once the computer is shutdown, remove any power cables, plugs and the battery.

Step 1

  • Once the battery has been removed by using the release tabs, take a non-magnetic Phillips-head screwdriver and remove the three identical screws on the RAM shield.

  • Step 2

  • Remove the RAM shield by lifting it and sliding the cover towards you, pulling it away from the computer.

  • Step 3

  • To replace an existing memory module, spread both clips on either side of the slot to release it. Remove the memory module by holding it on the edges and sliding it out on a 45 degree angle.

  • Step 4
  • To install the new memory, hold the upgrade on a 45 degree angle and align the notch on the memory to the notch located in the memory slot. Push the upgrade in then down until the clips lock into place.

  • Step 5

  • Finish by placing the RAM shield in its original position, replace the screws and the battery.

  • You can now restart your system with the new memory upgrade.
