This notebook comes from the factory with 4GB or 8GB soldered (non removeable) on the motherboard. There is one slot available for a memory upgrade, it is located under an aluminium cover on the motherboard. The cover is removeable, there are reviews online that say it is soldered onto the board and the cover can not be removed. Memory or SSD installation is for advanced users only. The bottom cover needs to be removed by removing screws and using a spludger or guitar pick to pop the clips off. Must the done from one corner to avoid damaging the case. Once the cover is removed, there are cables attached to the cover that need to be unplugged or avoided.
