Only Intel Xeon E-x2xx Series processors can use memory modules built with 16Gb density DRAM. BIOS/firmware updates and/or specific board revisions may also be required. Faster memory will clock down to run at optimal speed depending on processor model installed. MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN PAIRS for Dual Channel mode. If 4GB is installed, the recognized memory may be reduced to 3.5GB or less (depending on system configuration and memory allocation). Maximum configurations require a 64-bit operating system. Per Intel definitions, Xeon E-2100 series (Coffee Lake) processors require ECC memory. Desktop Core i3 and Pentium series (Coffee Lake) processors can support ECC or non-ECC memory. Mixing ECC and non-ECC within the same system is not recommended.
