The ThinkCentre A57 came standard with either DDR2-667 or DDR2-800. When mixing memory speeds, all installed memory will run at the slowest installed memory speed. Memory may be installed one at a time; however, they must be added in matching pairs to take advantage of dual channel mode. If 4GB is installed, the recognised memory may be reduced to 3.5GB or less (depending on system configuration and memory allocation). Configurations over 4GB require a 64-bit operating system.
