Systems based on Core i7 desktop processors support non-ECC UDIMM only. Systems based on Xeon E5-1600 v3 / E5-2600 v3 Series processors support either ECC UDIMM or RDIMM, with no non-ECC UDIMM support. Faster memory will clock down to run at optimal speeds depending on processor model installed. MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN FOURS for Quad Channel mode. Kingston recommends installing modules in kits of four (K4) for Quad Channel mode. ECC Registered DIMMs and Non-ECC Unbuffered DIMMs cannot be mixed.
