32 memory sockets on system board supports up to 512GB using 16GB modules. Installing 2TB requires the optional 16 socket MEC (8 banks of 2) and 16 socket MAX5 memory drawer (8 banks of 2) for a total of 64 sockets.This sytem supports x8 type memory but cannot be installed within the same memory bank. We recommend using the more readily available x4 type memory listed.
