MODULES MUST BE ORDERED AND INSTALLED IN GROUPS OF FOUR for Quad Channel mode. Mixing x4 and x8 modules is allowed, however not within the same bank. A Xeon E5 v4 series processor is required to support DDR4-2400 at full speed. DDR4-2666, DDR4-2400, and DDR4-2133 will safely clock down to run at optimal speeds depending on Xeon v3/v4 processor model and number of DIMMs installed per memory channel. Kingston offers both Registered (RDIMM) and Load Reduced (LRDIMM) memory modules. Registered and Load Reduced modules CANNOT be mixed within the same system.
